Suited To Success
Established in 2008, Suited to Success Inc is an incorporated not-for-profit community association which offers business clothing and support to unemployed people struggling to enter or return to the workforce to become self-sufficient and financially independence. Since 2010 we have operated Dress for Success® Brisbane as an affiliate of Dress for Success® Worldwide providing services to women. In 2012 we introduced a parallel service for men under our Suited to Success brand. In addition to providing work appropriate clothing, our programs provide support and advice on personal presentation, job applications and interview technique as well as building self-confidence.
As we receive no state or federal funding, we rely on community and corporate support and philanthropic donations to support our work. We have an enthusiastic and dedicated team of members who generously volunteer their time and experience to deliver our services, maintain our clothing boutique and also to raise funds. We receive many donations of gently used clothing from the community as well as new end-of-season clothing from designers and retailers. Work suitable clothing is directed into our boutique for our clients and other clothing provides stock for our monthly garage sales and regular monthly Bubbles & Bargains designer sales which are open to the public and generate valuable funds to support our work.
Our services and programs are provided free of charge to our clients who must be referred to us by a support agency. Initial appointments can be made through our office on (07) 3216 1969. Our boutique and offices are conveniently located at Unit 1, 47 Anderson Street, Fortitude Valley. This is close to Fortitude Valley Railway Station and bus services.
