Suited To Success
Suited to Success Inc has been offering its services to unemployed women struggling to enter or return to the workforce, since it was established in June 2008. Since January 2010 we have been operating as an affiliate of Dress for Success Worldwide and have now assisted over 2,000 women from the Greater Brisbane area through our Dress for Success Brisbane program. In 2012 we are extending our service to men.
We rely on our many trained volunteers to help unemployed people needing assistance to obtain work by providing business clothing, support in compiling resumes and application letters, and coaching in interview skills. We support our clients through continuing programs until they obtain a job and then continue to provide opportunities for networking and further self-development. Our programs provide presentation and confidence building skills, leading to employment which provides self-sufficiency and financial independence.
We have a growing number of Members, a strong volunteer and supporter base, with over 100 active trained volunteers and a Management Committee dedicated to our mission to empower individuals to obtain sustainable employment..
Our boutique is conveniently located at Unit 1, 47 Anderson Street, Fortitude Valley. Close to Fortitude Valley Railway Station and bus services. The boutique is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am to 12.30pm (and at other times by arrangement). Clothing donations can be delivered to the Office from Monday to Friday between 9.30am to 3pm. We can be contacted on (07) 3216 1969 or via email at info@suitedtosuccess.org.
Our services and programs are currently free of charge to clients holding benefits cards, and who are referred to us by their support agency.
